Duncan Watmore will make his long-awaited return to first-team action tonight, according to assistant boss James Fowler.
The 24-year-old has made excellent progress in recent weeks as he steps up his return from an ACL injury, featuring for the under-23s last weekend against Middlesbrough.
And now following another positive week’s work, Watmore is set to make his first senior appearance in 13 months as he takes another big step to returning.
“Duncan (Watmore) will be part of the squad,” he said.
“He will get some game time tomorrow on his way back from his injury.
“Having seen what we have from him in previous games and in training we are really excited to have him back."
He continued: “We aren't too bad apart from that. George Honeyman is carrying a little of a knock, but he is back in training.
"Chris Maguire is better after pulling up in the warm-up. Injury-wise we are good, and we'll be close to a full squad."
