Loan watch: Lens and Advocaat leave it late

Jeremain Lens – Besiktas 1-1 Fenerbahce

Jeremain Lens played the duration as nine-man Fenerbahce left it late for the third week running.

Vincent Aboubakar opened the scoring for Besiktas as the league leaders struck on the stroke of half-time, but Dick Advocaat’s side kept fighting despite Martin Skrtel and Souza seeing red in the closing stages.

And with just seconds remaining, a Marcelo own goal handed Fener an important point in the race for European football.

Tom Robson – Sligo Rovers 3-0 Limerick FC

Tom Robson continued to play a key role for Limerick but he was unable to inspire the Irish side past Sligo Rovers as they fell to a 3-0 defeat.

Goals from Raffaele Cretaro, Jonah Ayunga and Kieran Sadlier sealed the Blues' fate as early as the 47th as their five-game unbeaten run came to an end.

Limerick remain fifth in the table.

Michael Ledger – Viking Stavanger 0-2 Sandefjord Fotball

Michael Ledger completed another 90 minutes as Viking Stavanger slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Sandefjord Fotball.

Pau Morer and Harvard Storbaek were on target for the visitors who moved up to eighth in the Eliteserien.

But Viking are once again heading back to the drawing board, as they remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

Will Buckley – Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Fulham

Will Buckley came off the bench with 30 minutes remaining as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 to fellow play-off contenders Fulham.

Sam Winnall put the Owls ahead early on but Neeskens Kebano levelled soon after before Marco Marias was sent off for the second time this season.

And the Cottagers capitalised as Kebano sealed victory with 11 minutes remaining.

Adam Matthews – Bristol City

Adam Matthews wasn’t selected as Bristol City lost 1-0 to Birmingham City, who secured their Championship survival thanks to Che Adams’ first-half strike.
