Sunderland AFC’s new home kit will go on sale on Friday, exclusively to 2018-19 season card holders.
The new kit will be available to buy from 3pm on Friday 20 July, at the Stadium of Light store. Any season card holder who buys a shirt, can then enjoy free entry in to a special event, which includes live music, a huge on-site funfair, with complimentary rides and a range of outlets serving discounted food and drinks.
The stage within the grounds of the funfair will feature popular local musicians including Futureheads star Barry Hyde, Roxy Girls and YUMA. Sunderland AFC chairman Stewart Donald, Kevin Ball and a host of former players will join event host Frankie Francis, of Frankie and the Heartstrings fame, on stage during the afternoon and early evening.
The funfair features rides such as dodgems, waltzers, carousel and tea cups. Added to this is are bungee trampolines, inflatables and traditional games for all ages. There will also be face painting available for young supporters.
Foundation of Light, the registered charity of Sunderland AFC, will be providing a host of fun activities at the state-of-the-art Beacon of Light, which is adjacent to the stadium. Attendees will be able to take part in futsal, basketball, table tennis, giant jenga and football fun on the Beacon’s rooftop 4G pitch, all free of charge.
Mascots Samson and Delilah will be on hand throughout the afternoon and evening to entertain the crowds. The event will close at 8pm.

Season card holders must bring their season card with them to access the stadium store and purchase a kit. Once they have bought a kit, they will be given a wristband which will grant entry to the event and funfair. Supporters are reminded that this special early purchase period and event entry is available to 2018-19 season card holders only.
Season card holders who have renewed their seat for 2018-19 should continue to use their existing season card, which will simply be re-activated for the new season. Any supporter who has bought a new seat, moved to a new location or changed price bracket, should receive their new season card by Friday. Anyone who does not receive their season card by Friday should contact the ticket office, which will be open throughout the event on Friday.
The Stadium of Light store will close at 12noon on Friday, opening again at 3pm for the season card holder kit launch. The home kit will be available to all supporters on Saturday 21 July, across all three stores – Stadium of Light, Debenhams, Sunderland and The Galleries, Washington.
