Sunderland AFC’s Durham County Challenge Cup fixture against Hartlepool United will no longer take place this evening.
Earlier today, the club were informed by the Durham Football Association that Hartlepool had advised that they were unable to fulfil the fixture against SAFC’s under-23s.
As a result, the Durham FA have stated that Pools will be removed from the competition and SAFC will subsequently progress to the semi-final stage.
