Sunderland under-23s’ provisional Premier League 2 fixtures for the 2019-20 season have been released.
Elliott Dickman’s youngsters start on the road against Stoke City at Leek Town on Monday 12 August, kick-off 7pm.
Their first home game comes six days later as they welcome Norwich City to Eppleton CW on Sunday 18 August for a 12pm start.
Following a trip to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion on Friday 23 August, the Lads will then welcome Aston Villa to the Stadium of Light for the first of three games to be played at the club’s main stadium over the course of the season.
A Wear-Tees match-up comes at the start of September before two mammoth away trips to Swansea City and West Ham United follow.
After that, the Black Cats will face a Wear-Tyne derby against Newcastle United at Eppleton CW on Monday 21 October at 7pm.
Trips to Old Trafford, on Monday 22 November, and St James’ Park, on Friday 14 February, are also in store for Dickman’s side before they round off their home league campaign with two games at the Stadium of Light.
Manchester United provide the development team with their penultimate game on home soil on Monday 6 April, with Swansea City coming to town for the season finale on Sunday 3 May.
