Fitness: Krusnell feeling good

Oscar Krusnell has shared his delight at being back on the grass, admitting he can’t wait to reach full fitness.

The 17-year-old missed the first couple of months of the U18 Premier League through injury but returned against Everton as he earned his first competitive minutes of the season.

While the youth team continue to chase their first win of the campaign, Krusnell has shared his optimism and admitted he is itching to clock some more minutes up.

“It feels really good to be back out playing again,” he said.

“Just being out there and involved is great but I still have a long way to go until I reach full fitness.

“We haven’t got a game at the weekend but hopefully against Liverpool the week after I will be able to get some more minutes under my belt and continue pushing myself.”

He continued: “We haven’t had the best of starts but I really want to help them turn it around and really kick on because we have picked up in recent matches.

“We should’ve got something from the game against Blackburn and even though the scoreline says we lost 3-0, I thought we played well.

“Our second half performance was pleasing because we really took the game to them and now we need to put that behind us and look to move on next time against Liverpool.”
