Black Cats take in Porcupines training session.
Sunderland AFC’s head of international football development continued his tour of Ghana as he arrived in Kumasi.
Graham Robinson, who has been touring the country this week as part of the Black Cats partnership with Asante Kotoko, visited Kumasi as he observed the Porcupines first team training session.
The training session took place at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko’s home ground and was enjoyable viewing for Graham, who witnessed first-hand the talent on show from the Ghana Premier League champions.
Continuing his trip, Graham held an intense training session with the Porcupine’s under-17s team. The players from the team who have been hand-picked from regional school games displayed a no fear attitude which impressed Graham.
Graham said: “The boys have been fantastic to work with, they’re technically very good and attentive making it very easy for me to do my job.”
As part of the partnership Sunderland send out a representative from the club four times a year to assist with on-going youth development at Asante Kotoko.
During his trip Graham has been teaching the younger players about the freedom to express themselves and not to fear making mistakes in training.
Graham will continue to deliver daily sessions with different age groups for the rest of the week.
