Niall Huggins signed for Sunderland in August 2021 on a long-term contract from Leeds United, making his debut in a Carabao Cup victory at Blackpool.
A versatile full-back who can operate on both sides of the defence and in a more advanced role on the wings, Huggins is a Welsh Under-21 international who made his Premier League debut for Leeds away at Arsenal in spring 2021.
Adding pace, athleticism and crossing ability, Huggins arrived at the club as part of a revolutionary new recruitment approach of talented young prospects on Wearside.
