2026: Natasha Fenton signs new deal

We are delighted to announce that Natasha Fenton has signed a new contract with the Club.

The midfielder, who joined last summer, has penned a new deal on Wearside until 2026.

Fenton was made vice-captain earlier in the season alongside captain Brianna Westrup, and has been an ever-present in the team, playing 24 times in all competitions this campaign.

The number 14 has played a crucial role in the Lasses’ impressive defensive record this season protecting the back line to keep eight league clean sheets.

Also threatening at the other end of the pitch, the 25-year-old scored a header against Watford at the start of the season and has registered a number of assists, including playing a key role in the first two goals against Lewes from set pieces.

On signing her new deal, Fenton said: “I’m absolutely delighted to extend my stay here. It was a no-brainer when the offer came through in terms of building for the future and building on what I believe is a good foundation for this season. The girls and the staff have been absolutely fantastic and I definitely feel really settled here.”

Sunderland Women Head Coach added: “We are delighted Tash has committed her future to Sunderland. She has played a pivotal role in our development this season and has proven leadership skills that will become crucial in the team’s success.”
