Manager's preview: Moyes on Bournemouth

Sunderland’s trip to AFC Bournemouth can provide the catalyst for a run of form, according to boss David Moyes.

The Black Cats manager believes victory over the Cherries can ignite the Black Cats’ season, but he also admitted a first Premier League victory is currently the immediate and only priority.

On Saturday Sunderland will face an AFC Bournemouth side who are bang in form having taken 12 points from their opening 10 games, including 10 out of a possible 15 at home.

And speaking to safc.com the Glaswegian urged his side to banish their record without a win ahead of the November international break.

“You always need a run of results whether you’re a team at the top of the league or the bottom.

“We will try and do that but it can only start by getting one and then you can start talking about a run.”

“We’re all hurting and we want to win quickly,” continued Moyes.

“It’s certainly not through a lack of trying or lack of wanting to do it and I think the players have shown that in the games - up until 70 minutes we ran Arsenal close – so their commitment and attitude has been terrific.

“What everybody can only do is give their best and the players are giving their best, so they are working very hard to try and do everything they can.”
