Top 10: Get to know McNair and Love

To help you get to know Sunderland's latest recruits, safc.com has compiled 10 facts about Donaldo Love and Paddy McNair... 

Donald Love #10 

-   Born December 2, 1994, Love is a tenacious right-back who has risen through the Manchester United youth ranks.  

-   The defender joined the Red Devils in July 2002, at the age of seven.  

-   Hailing from Rochdale, Love has been capped at Scotland under-21 level. 

-   Besides being a full-back, the 21-year-old can also play in the heart of defence and is an accomplished in defensive midfield.  

-   Love has been shortlisted for Manchester United's Denzil Haroun Player of the Year award for the last two seasons.  

-   The defender signed his first professional contract with the Red Devils in 2013 and was then given his first taste of senior football when he was sent on loan to Wigan Athletic.  

-   While an injury-ravaged campaign impacted heavily on Love's progression, the full-back made seven appearances at the Latics.  

-   Love made his first-team debut for Manchester United in a 2-1 defeat against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in February 2016.  

-   The 21-year-old marked his first start for United a week later as he featured in their 2-1 Europa League defeat at Midtjylland.  

-   Love is United's 250th graduate of the club's youth academy.  

Paddy McNair #10

-   Born 27 April, 1995, McNair hails from Ballyclare in Northern Ireland. 

-   His full name is Patrick James Coleman McNair. 

-   The 21-year-old is a versatile player who usually plies his trade in the heart of defence.  

-   The defender joined United at the age of 16 from County Aintrim based side Ballyclare Colts.  

-   McNair made his United debut in September 2014 as the Red Devils defeated West Ham United 2-1 at Old Trafford.  

-   Prior to that, McNair had made just 11 appearances for United's under-21s team before making his senior bow.  

-   He has represented Northern Ireland through every age group from under-16 to senior level, which he graduated to in 2015. 

-   McNair was part of the Northern Ireland squad that made history at the European Championships in 2016, as Michael O'Neill's side went on a marvellous run and got out of their group.  

-   The 21-year-old has made 11 senior appearances for Northern Ireland after making his debut in a 1-0 defeat at Scotland in March 2015.   

-   McNair has left Manchester United having made 24 senior appearances.
