'They are players I love to have in my squad'
Paolo Di Canio says he’s encouraged by the early progress made by loan signings Fabio Borini and Ki Sung-Yueng.
The pair both featured in the defeat to Arsenal, with Swansea man Ki playing the entire game in midfield.
Meanwhile Borini, who is on loan from Liverpool, entered the action as a second-half substitute.
“To be honest they are the players I expected, with quality and desire in their positions,” said Di Canio, who was also pleased with the performance of winger Charis Mavrias on his first start.
“They are players I love to have in my squad.
“I am very happy and positive because it was their first game with their new team-mates after joining us.
“They already did a good job of linking up with the others. With time they will have more togetherness and understanding. That will be crucial.
“For their debuts, I am more than happy.”
