New signing looking forward to linking up with fellow Swede.
David Moberg Karlsson says he’s a “big fan” of Seb Larsson – and is looking forward to linking up with his fellow Swede on Wearside.
Larsson is one of his country’s biggest stars, boasting 55 senior international caps, while U19 international Moberg Karlsson is quickly rising through the ranks.
“I’ve seen Seb for many years now when he was a young player and I looked at the Barclays Premier League,” said Moberg Karlsson, who made 29 appearances for former club IFK Goteborg.
“I looked at him playing football for a long time so I’m a big fan.
“I talked to [former Black Cat Tobias Hysen] about Sunderland before my move; he talked good about Sunderland, the city as well so it’s great.”
Meanwhile, Moberg Karlsson knows all about the passion of the red and white army, with the club averaging more than 40,000 fans per home game last season.
“I have heard about how the fans are crazy about games,” he explained.
“It’s fun, you want passion in football – that’s why you play.”
