safc.com identifies the Swans' key men.
Michel Vorm - Goalkeeper
The Dutch stopper joined Swansea City for a fee of around £1.5 million in 2011. He took the vacant number one shirt and made it his own with a string of impressive displays during the team’s debut season in the Barclays Premier League. Despite picking up an injury towards the end of 2012, the goalkeeper has made 14 appearances this term and kept 4 clean sheets.
Jonathan de Guzman - Midfielder
The 25-year-old Dutch midfielder arrived at the Liberty Stadium last July on a season-long loan from Spanish side Villarreal. De Guzman previously worked with Michael Laudrup at Mallorca and has again performed well under the Dane.
The player's ability on the ball has been a key part in Swansea's high-tempo attacking approach under Laudrup and De Guzman highlighted his talent with two goals in their recent 3-1 win over Stoke.
During his time at South Wales he has bagged six goals – including Swansea’s second in their 2-1 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park in November.
Michu - Striker
The Spaniard has taken the Premier League by storm since his £2.2m summer switch from Rayo Vallecano. Last week he signed a deal to keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2016 and admitted: "I am living a dream here at Swansea."
The 26 year-old can play as an attacking midfielder or centre-forward and has scored 16 goals in 28 appearances for the Swans. He has already been described as the signing of the season and has emerged as a cult hero in Swansea.
