Sunderland Women are in cup action this Sunday, when they entertain Cardiff City WFC with a place in the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup at stake.

The Welsh outfit are seventh in the Women’s Premier League and are currently 13 points behind the Lady Black Cats, despite playing a game more.

Sunderland have won all of the last three meetings between the sides with the highlight being a 7-1 drubbing of the Bluebirds where four goals from Kelly McDougall, as well as strikes from Beth Mead, Gemma Wilson and Rachel Lee, sent the Welsh side crashing out of the Women’s FA Cup.

Sunday’s game takes place at the Hetton Centre (Eppleton CW) with a 1pm kick-off.

Up-to-date live goal updates will be available from the official Sunderland Women's Twitter @SunderlandWFC

Also, the draw for the Women’s FA Cup has been made and Sunderland’s ladies have been handed an away trip to Sporting Club Albion.

The game will take place on Sunday 24th Febraury with a 1pm kick-off.
