Good news as defender returns.
Martin O’Neill is hoping to have Carlos Cuellar back in action soon after the Spanish defender returned to training.
Cuellar was back out at the Academy of Light this morning alongside the other members of the squad ahead of this weekend’s game at Manchester City.

It’s not yet known whether the defender, who hasn’t played since September 15, will be available for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile defender Wes Brown is also back in light training having not yet made an appearance this season.
O’Neill said: “Carlos trained this morning and is certainly looking better than he did last week.
“Wes has done as much rehab as he possibly can and now it’s about getting out there and getting some confidence from playing.
“He hasn’t done that much and I would say that this fortnight around this international break will bring him on immensely.
“If he, like a number of other players, could have an injury-free run over the next couple of months, that would be terrific.”
