Coach feels Wycombe switch presents good challenge.
Development squad coach Kevin Ball believes Billy Knott’s loan move to Wycombe Wanderers is the perfect opportunity for the young midfielder to take his game to the next level.
Knott has been in fine form for the under-21s during pre-season and he notched the opening goal in Monday evening’s 3-2 win over Leicester City.
And Ball believes the challenge of league football will improve the Canvey Island-born youngster's game.
“I think it’s good for him to get a challenge in league football,” Ball said.
“There are parts of Billy’s game that are outstanding, there are parts that Billy knows if he can get better then he’ll give himself even more chance of playing regular league football.
“It’s a good opportunity for him; Gareth Ainsworth [Wycombe manager] will look after him and the club will look after him.
“When they come to play Hartlepool next month we’ll pop down and watch him play as well so I’m pleased for him.”
