Events: Come Outside comes to Sunderland

“Come Outside” is a 3-day event which will pilot activations to attract city-wide residents of all ages to embrace and encourage a new healthy, sociable and sustainable way of life.

Anchored at Keel Edge directly next to City Hall, “Come Outside” gives the city the opportunity to explore the art of the possible in the development and usage of this meanwhile event space.

The perfect setting for trialling new street art, growing walls, outdoor furniture, pop-up containers and surrounding infrastructure whilst piloting attractions and gathering footage for Expo Sunderland which goes big in 2025.

An unrivalled opportunity for residents from across the city to be invited to the future development of the public realm and for us to actively engage their appetite and insight with new and exciting attractions, competitions and prizes.

Over the 3 days, sustainable outside exhibits and activations will include:

  • Community growing & planting
  • Healthy eating and pop-up food and drink
  • Outdoor exercise and recreation
