Ernst and Young join exciting initiative.

Invest in Africa are pleased to announce Ernst & Young, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, as a founding partner of Invest in Africa.

By bringing together firms who have successfully been doing business in Africa for many years, like Ernst & Young and Tullow Oil (the initial Founding Partner of Invest in Africa), to share their experience and knowledge, Invest in Africa is working to challenge the perceptions of business on the continent and so inspire new investment into one of the world's fastest growing regions.

As the principal sponsor of Sunderland AFC, Invest in Africa are using today’s Barclays Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur to launch the 'Invest in Africa 2013' campaign to promote Africa as open for business by highlighting surprising facts about the size of the investment opportunities in Africa.

Michael Lalor, Lead Partner of Ernst & Young's Africa Business Centre said: “For us, the partnership with Invest in Africa is very well-timed. Our principles and our values are very well aligned with Invest in Africa and so we are very excited about the partnership.”

Invest in Africa Programme Director William Pollen added: “We are delighted to have Ernst & Young on board as a founding partner, their experience and knowledge of investing and doing business in Africa is a fantastic asset. We look forward to working on a number of Invest in Africa initiatives in partnership with them.”
