Sunderland’s esteemed academy enjoyed a successful 2015-16 season across all age groups.
The under-21s challenged for the title and the under-18s impressed, with many players progressing up the ladder including Tom Robson, Rees Greenwood and George Honeyman who made their Premier League debuts against Watford.
Josh Maja was also in the first-team squad for the trip to Vicarage Road and the season saw Duncan Watmore and Jordan Pickford became regulars, but it’s not just the under-18s and under-21s who made an impact during an campaign to remember.
