The eight youngsters from the Carribean currently visiting the club weere in attendance as Sunderland saw off Birmingham on Tuesday.
Following a light morning training session conducted by Academy Coach, Ian Dipper, the boys were visited by Digicel Kick Start Clinics head coach, John Barnes, who joined them on a guided tour of the Stadium of Light where they got to see what happens behind the scenes.
Next up was a visit to the University of Sunderland's Sports Science Centre, where the footballers were put through a string of tests which included a reaction and co-ordination time test, and sprint and agility jump tests to measure how fast they can kick a football.
The boys also had a chance to visit the brand new City Space Centre in the University which is a multi-purpose sports facility featuring a world-class fitness station, a climbing wall, an injury support centre and a showcase sports hall with seating for 500 spectators.
The budding stars then returned to the Stadium of Light to take in the game and were in awe of the team, ground and facilities. The game was made extra-special as they got to see a 2-0 victory for the Black Cats.
The youngsters in Sunderland this week are: Ryan Frederick from Trinidad, Omar Holness and Paul Wilson from Jamaica, Diquan Adamson of Barbados, Halti's Amicy Esso Faudelyn, Kyrhon Philip from St Kitts and from Suriname, Ruiz Dillon Kromoredjo and Julianto Diporedjo.
Following the game Omar Holness said: "We will treasure this experience for the rest of our lives. It's been a fantastic week so far and we're all so happy to have had this opportunity.
"Being able to watch Sunderland in action against Birmingham City last night was just incredible and it has definitely helped me focus on being the best footballer I can possibly be."
