2004 - Simon Ramsden came on as a 90th minute substitute against Ipswich Town, making his only appearance for Sunderland – the two minutes he was on the pitch make him be the player with the shortest SAFC career
1990 – Gary Owers was sent off in a 5-0 fifth round league cup defeat at Coventry City
1931 – Thomas Urwin became the first Sunderland player to be sent off in a FA Cup tie; in a fourth round draw with Bolton.
