Principal partner visits Wearside.

Sunderland AFC have welcomed Brian Joffe, CEO of Bidvest, to the club in what was his first visit to Wearside since the announcement that the South African-based company would be the Black Cats' new principal partner.

Mr Joffe, accompanied by SAFC’s CEO Margaret Byrne and commercial director Gary Hutchinson, toured the Stadium of Light and Sunderland’s state of the art training base, the Academy of Light, where he met head coach Paolo Di Canio and members of the first team squad – all proudly sporting their Bidvest-branded training wear.

Speaking about the visit, Gary Hutchinson said: “We were delighted to welcome Brian on his first visit to Sunderland.  It was fantastic to be able to show him first hand the stadium and training ground and he was very impressed with what he saw.

“Bidvest are a huge global organisation and we are tremendously proud to have them on board as the club’s principal partner. Building our reputation and presence internationally is one of our key aims and our partnership with Bidvest will certainly help us to achieve this.”

The Bidvest Group is a global business operating across a range of sectors with over 105,000 employees across four continents. It also operates the largest global food service business outside North America and has significant presence in the UK market.
