Forward a popular figure at signing session.

Sunderland midfielder Stephane Sessegnon wowed fans at the Bridges Shopping Centre yesterday as he turned out in front of hundreds of Black Cats fans at the club’s official store in Debenhams.

The Benin international posed for pictures, signed shirts and spent time talking to supporters as the fans queued to buy their Sunderland shirts at discounted prices.

Sessegnon took time after the session to talk to safc.com and he was delighted to meet the Sunderland supporters.

“It was really nice to spend time talking to the Sunderland fans,” Sessegnon said.

“I enjoy meeting them as they always make me feel welcome. The young children drew pictures of me and that was really special.”

If you missed out on Sessegnon’s signing session you can catch John O’Shea today at the Galleries Shopping Centre in Washington between 4pm and 5.30pm.
