Patrick Roberts arrived at SAFC in January 2022 on an initial short-term deal from Manchester City before becoming a mainstay in the team after extending his stay.
The wide forward can operate in a number of attacking positions, and has extensive experience for his years with City, Celtic and Fulham among others.
Roberts' outstanding skill and magical feet have made him a hugely popular figure on Wearside. He scored a crucial goal against Watford in April 2023 which went on to help the Lads secure a sixth placed finish in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Club's number ten extended his stay by signing a new contract until the summer of 2026.
