Corry Evans arrived as one of Lee Johnson's recruits in the summer of 2021, having spent eight years at Blackburn Rovers.

The deep-lying midfielder won promotion from League One at Ewood Park in 2018, playing the rest of his time at the club at Championship level.

Evans came through the highly esteemed Manchester United academy, following in the footsteps of brother Jonny, who himself played for Sunderland in the late 2000s.

The midfielder played a huge role in the Lads' promotion winning season from League One in 2022 lifting the trophy at Wembley after a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers. He continued show his presence and experience in the Championship before injury cut his season short in January 2023. 

Evans is a seasoned international for Northern Ireland, currently holding 65 caps and scoring twice - the midfield man was a regular under Michael O'Neill at Euro 2016 as the nation qualified to the knockout stages.
