Preview: Lasses make trip to Dartford

Sunderland Women travel to Princes Park as they face London City Lionesses on Sunday in the Barclays Women’s Championship (KO 2pm).

 

With five games to go, the Lasses are top of the league with 34 points from 17 games, one point above Crystal Palace, although the Eagles do have a game in hand.

 

Opposition

 

London City currently sit just one place aabove the relegation zone in tenth with 16 points from 17 games, scoring 18 and conceding 28 goals.

 

The Lionesses are unbeaten in their last two league games under new head coach Remi Allen, beating Reading 2-1 last time out, and drawing 2-2 with Durham in their last fixture at Princes Park.

 

The reverse fixture saw a goalless draw between the two sides on the opening day of the season at Eppleton.
