Six Sunderland Women players are in action for their respective national teams over the international break.
Mary McAteer and Ellen Jones have both received call-ups to Wales’ senior squad for their Euro 2025 qualifying games. They take on Croatia on Friday, but also face Liz Ejupi’s Kosovo in League B of the qualfifiers.
With Ejupi joining the Kosovo squad to face McAteer and Jones’ Wales, Kosovo also face Ukraine.
Katie Kitching has been called up to New Zealand once again as the Ferns play two friendlies against Thailand in Christchurch.
Both Katy Watson and Grace Ede will meet up with the England Under-19 side. The young Lionesses will play three Euro U19 qualifying games against Switzerland, Portugal and Italy in Lisbon, with the winner of the tournament making it through to the finals in July.
