Sunderland AFC Ladies can announce its full list of retained players following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.
Keira Ramshaw, Emma Kelly, Neve Herron, Emily Scarr, Louise Griffiths, Jessica Brown, Libbi McInnes, Grace McCatty, Abbey Joice, Megan Beer, Holly Manders, Claudia Moan, Allison Cowling, Faye Mullen, Grace Ede and Katy Watson have all been retained ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Grace Boyes is currently considering options and remains in discussions with the club ahead of the new season, whilst Abby Towers and Emily Hutchinson will remain with SAFC as they resume injury rehabilitation.
Maria Farrugia, Eve Blakey and Daisy Burt will all depart the club this summer. Farrugia leaves having been an integral part of the squad for a number of years, having rejected the offer of a new contract.
Blakey will leave Wearside as she embarks on a scholarship in the US, having shown great potential with Mel Reay’s side.
Burt will depart to pursue other opportunities, having graduated to the first-team squad from the Sunderland Regional Talent Centre [RTC] during the 2021-22 campaign.
Everyone at Sunderland AFC would like to thank Maria, Eve and Daisy for their service to the club and wish them all the best in their future careers.
