Sunderland will round off a run of three-straight home matches at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday when Gillingham come to town.
Kicking-off at 7:45pm, the Black Cats will be looking to put behind them a frustrating run of three draws, leaving them fourth in League One.
However, Jack Ross’ side showed plenty of fight about them on Friday evening at home to Accrington Stanley as they came back from 2-0 down to earn a point and continue their unbeaten home record in the league this season.
Added to that, Sunderland continued their fine record of scoring in every league match – a feat no other side in the top four tiers of English football has managed.
But as the games keep coming thick and fast, Ross and his players know that three points over The Gils on Tuesday evening is a must.
