With over 21, 500 already signed up, Sunderland AFC fans have one week remaining to secure their season card for 2018-19 at the club’s special early purchase prices.
The Stadium of Light is offering some of the best value-for-money seats in football for the new season, with fans able to make significant savings against buying tickets on a match-by-match basis.
An over 65 season card is available from just £220. A supporter buying an equivalent seat for each game (using an average ticket price) would pay just over £400, meaning that a season card affords 10 games free of charge.
Using an under 22 season card as a further example, which is available for £140, a supporter would save over £280 on buying individual match tickets. This equates to 11 free games.
An under 16 season card offers the biggest saving of all, priced at only £40 if bought before the July 20 deadline. Buying a junior ticket for each game, again based on average ticket prices, would cost over £170 across the course of the season, meaning that a season card holder gets 17 games absolutely free.
Chairman Stewart Donald said: “We have committed to offering prices that we think will allow as many supporters as possible to become season card holders. To have more than 21,500 already signed up, by far the highest in the league, is incredible and something which is fantastic to see.
“With just one week of the special prices remaining, I would urge as many fans as possible to take advantage of the huge savings on offer and not to miss out on what we all hope is going to be an exciting season for Sunderland AFC.
The deadline for fans to take advantage of these special prices is 4.30pm on Friday 20 July. After this date, prices will rise.
Additonally, fans who buy before the July 20 deadline will also be able to enjoy a three-season price freeze (providing they do not change age bracket or move seats during that time).
