Sunderland under-23s are in action on Wednesday evening as they do their bit to support the local community.
Elliott Dickman’s side head to Hebburn Town for a fundraising friendly, kick-off 6:30pm, with proceeds going towards supporting the Northern League club.
With just gate receipts and sponsorship the two principle sources of revenue to fund the club’s operations, Hebburn are hopeful the arrival of the European finalist team will help to boost their revenue campaign.
Fans wishing to attend the match can gain admission from £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and accompanied children can enter for free.
