Starting XI: Mowbray goes unchanged for Preston

Sunderland will start with an unchanged line-up today against Preston North End at Deepdale, with Tony Mowbray opting for the same XI which began last weekend’s clash with Watford.

Pierre Ekwah is again chosen to partner Neil in the middle of the park at Deepdale, whilst Clarke is joined by Amad and Patrick Roberts in a three supporting Joe Gelhardt up top.

SUNDERLAND AFC: Patterson; Gooch ©, Hume, O’Nien, Cirkin; Ekwah, Neil; Roberts, Amad, Clarke; Gelhardt.
