As the Sky Bet Championship comes to a pause, seven Sunderland players could potentially be in action for their respective nations over the course of the international break.
Anthony Patterson will be away with the England Under 21s for the first time and is hoping to make his first appearance for the young Three Lions set up.
Amad, who has been selected for Ivory Coast’s senior squad, will be looking to add to his three caps while Trai Hume’s call-up to the Northern Ireland squad represents an opportunity to gain further international experience. He currently has one cap for his country and has been called up alongside Dan Ballard.
Jewison Bennette has travelled with Costa Rica for their CONCACAF Nations League games while Edouard Michut and Abdoullah Ba has been called up to France U20s squad.
