Manager's view:
Ross ready to go again

Jack Ross has put Sunderland’s win over to Doncaster Rovers to one side and is now focused on the next hurdle.

On Easter Monday, the Black Cats head to Peterborough United in search of another crucial three points in the race for promotion to the Championship.

Victory over Doncaster on Good Friday brought a sense of relief after suffering a draw and defeat in their two games previous against Burton Albion and Coventry City.

However, with little time to reflect on Friday’s showing, Sunderland are tasked with doing it all again as they take on play-off hopefuls Peterborough in their own back yard.

“It’s a demanding schedule but we knew that was going to be the case in April,” Ross told safc.com.

“We have enjoyed this week because although it wasn’t a full week, the benefit of having that extra time to prepare was seen on Friday.

“We will regroup and see how everyone is physically, do our preparation as quickly as we can for Peterborough – another difficult game – against a good side too.

“We will go there in a good frame of mind and we understand what we need to do to reach our goal this season,” he continued.

“We got one out of the way on Friday and now we need to go again on Monday and do the same.”
