The Captain: 200 up for O'Shea

Captain John O'Shea notched up his 200th league start for the club yesterday as Sunderland beat Hull City.

O'Shea, 36, made his 24th appearance of the season and 240th of his Black Cats career as Joel Asoro's first-half goal sealed a 1-0 home win.

The former Manchester United man is in his seventh season on Wearside having made the move from Old Trafford in 2011.

He has made 638 senior career appearances in all competitions for United, Bournemouth (loan) and Sunderland.

Meanwhile, midfielder Lee Cattermole is not far away from his 200th league start for the club, having started for the 174th time in the league in red and white yesterday.
