Bryan Oviedo cut a frustrated figure following the Black Cats' late defeat to Nottingham Forest at the Stadium of Light.
The Costa Rica interbational returned to the starting line-up after missing out on Saturday's game and almost broke the deadlock for Sunderland as he went close to scoring in the second half.
However, the visitors pounced with a counter-attack following the defender's effort and snatched the win to take al lthree points home from Wearside.
