Firing on all cylinders:
Rodwell relishing SoL return

Jack Rodwell is thoroughly enjoying working with David Moyes for the second time in his career.

Rodwell, who made his Everton debut under Moyes at the age of 16, flourished under the Scot during his time at Goodison Park, and he’s been a standout performer in each of the club’s outings in 2017.

Moyes gave Rodwell a glowing report following the midfielder’s performance against Burnley, stating that the he has all the tools to become a ‘very good’ player.

And speaking to safc.com, the 25-year-old agreed that the Scot is without a doubt the best manager to ensure he’s firing on all cylinders.

“Definitely,” said Rodwell when asked if Moyes was the man get the best of out him.

“He’s a good manager with good credentials, so hopefully he can get the best out of me.”

He continued: “It’s a massive game against Stoke City this weekend and we know the fans will be brilliant again.

“I just feel like we have that edge at home – even though we didn’t get the goal against Burnley – so we will take positives from that, and with the crowd behind us we can get the three points.

“If we can keep up our form between now and the end of the season it will be great for us.”
