Team news: Quartet face late fitness tests

Sunderland face an anxious wait after David Moyes revealed four players are doubtful for Saturday's game against AFC Bournemouth.

Jason Denayer, Lee Cattermole and Darron Gibson, who all started against Middlesbrough on Wednesday, and Jack Rodwell will all undergo late fitness tests.

The Black Cats will once again be without Bryan Oviedo, Jan Kirchhoff, Paddy McNair and Duncan Watmore, with Seb Larsson serving the final game of a suspension.

Speaking to safc.com, Moyes provided the latest team news.

"We did [have a couple patched up for Middlesbrough] and we’ve got another couple ahead of tomorrow,” said the Sunderland boss.

“We will need to wait on them and it probably won’t be until tomorrow [Saturday] until we can make a decision.”

He added: "Lee Cattermole (achilles) has an injury, Darron Gibson (groin) has an injury, Jack Rodwell (groin) has an injury and Jason Denayer (dead leg) has an injury.

“All of them are doubtful and we’ll check on them tomorrow.”
