Team news from the SoL: Kone, Love, Pienaar and Borini start

Sunderland have made a host changes for today’s Premier League crunch-match against AFC Bournemouth (KO 3pm).  

Billy Jones, Jason Denayer, Darron Gibson, Lee Cattermole and Jack Rodwell miss out through injury, as Donald Love, Lamine Kone, Steven Pienaar and Fabio Borini come into the starting XI.

18-year-old Elliot Embleton is named on the bench following an impressive season with the club’s under-23s, with Lynden Gooch and George Honeyman also amongst the substitutes.

John O’Shea captains the Black Cats as Jermain Defoe and Victor Anichebe spearhead the attack against the Cherries.
