Manager's preview: Moyes calls for togetherness

David Moyes has called for togetherness ahead of Sunderland’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Saturday’s match at the Stadium of Light marks the Black Cats’ penultimate home match of the campaign, but with time running out they remain at the bottom of the PL table.

Victory over the Cherries would offer fresh hope ahead of next weekend’s trip to Hull City, but failure to match the Tigers' result would see the Lads looking at results elsewhere.

And speaking ahead of the game, Moyes urged his players and the red and white army to come together to help ensure winning ways return to Wearside.

“The support of the team is a big thing and you always support your club, which is something I think the fans have done throughout the course of the season.

“All I want is for the fans to get behind the players and make sure we give them every opportunity to win the game, as that’s the most important thing.”

He continued: “If we can win tomorrow it will give us a chance to go again.

“Bournemouth have always been a good footballing team but we beat them down there and if we can do it again it would be a good double for us.

"Our focus is making sure we're prepared and while we still have a chance we will keep fighting.”
