Kaboul: "We are fully focused"

Younes Kaboul believes Sunderland can return from Carrow Road with three points.

The Black Cats face a seismic encounter with Norwich City on Saturday (KO 12.45pm) with the Canaries currently holding a four-point advantage over Sam Allardyce’s side.

Last time out both sides tasted defeat with Crystal Palace edging past the Canaries and away from the bottom three with a narrow 1-0 win at Selhurst Park, and Sunderland suffered a similarly frustrating fate 24 hours later as Leicester City sealed a 2-0 win at Stadium of Light.

On Saturday the sides will meet and the footballing world's attention will be firmly fixed on proceedings at Carow Road, and speaking to safc.com Kaboul admitted the aim for both sides is simple.

“We need to look forward and we can’t look back at what might have been,” said Kaboul.

“The reality is simple and we know we need to go to Norwich and win.

“I think it could be us or them so we need to make sure it’s not us and we will travel to the game with a lot of determination.

“The fans are special, really special, and I’m sure they will be once again cheer us on right until the end on Saturday,” continued Kaboul.

“Sunday was disappointing because we were in the game in the first half and the second, but when they scored we dropped down a level and we were a different team.

“Fortunately there was space in the game and we had chances to make it 1-1, but we couldn't do that and now we are fully focused on Norwich and bouncing back with a win.”
