Week Ahead: The next seven days on Wearside

Men's Team:

 

Plymouth Argyle await the Lads this coming weekend, following another uninterrupted week on the training ground for Michael Beale and his squad.

Women's Team:

 

It's a big week for SAFC Women as they face the mouthwatering prospect of a trip to face Chelsea in the Continental Tyres League Cup at Kingsmeadow.

 

Chelsea sit top of the Women's Super League currently, but SAFC Women will look forward to the challenge ahead.

Academy:

 

The Under 21s face Bristol City in Premier League Cup action on Monday 5 February, at home. Updates will be available through our Academy of Light X account. They then play against Leicester City on Friday at home.

 

Later on in the week, the under-18s will travel to Wolverhampton to continue their U18 Premier League campaign on Saturday 10 February.

 

Ticketing:

 

See the January signings take to the field for the first time as we clash with Plymouth Argyle at the Stadium of Light on Saturday 10 February. You can bag your spot as the Lads look to make it back-to-back home victories.

 

We take on Huddersfield Town away from home on Wednesday 14 February. Tickets for this game are now sold out.

 

The phased release of tickets for our trip to Birmingham City kicks off on Monday 5 February, you can find more information on the phases here.

 

Tickets are also available for our home meeting with Swansea City. Secure yours now.

 

Expect information on Tuesday 6 February related to our away trip to Norwich City on Saturday 2 March. Tickets for our home clash against Leicester City will also be made available from Tuesday 6 February.

 

Hospitality:

 

Hospitality is sold out for our next two home games, meaning the next opportunity to join us in Montgomery Suite will be for Leicester City on Tuesday 5 March.

Foundation of Light:

 

The winners of the Foundation of Light's Writing Competition will be at the upcoming Plymouth game for a special presentation and matchday experience. The contest was dedicated to the memory of Lance Hardy, a former BBC sports editor and author of Stokoe, Sunderland and '73. 

 

Sir Bob Murray will be at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, the former SAFC chairman will be at the game to make a presentation following the release of his autobiography.
