Week Ahead: Coming up on Wearside

Three goals from three goalscorers secured the points on Wearside against Plymouth on the weekend.

Attention turns to a busy week across the Club with two away games coming up and season three of Sunderland 'Til I Die landing on Netflix.

Sunderland 'Til I Die:

The third season of the hugely successful Sunderland 'Til I Die series will hit Netflix on Tuesday 13 February at 8am. This special three-part series offers insight into the magical 2021-22 season when the Black Cats secured promotion to the Championship.

As part of the launch, we'll be delivering a brand new collection of clothing, made in association with Sunderland-based artist Kathryn Robertson.

The range is an homage to the show and the city, you can make sure you're first to see by subscribing to club emails.

Men's Team:

It's three unbeaten for the Lads as they face tricky away games to conclude the week.

They travel to Huddersfield Town on Wednesday, kicking off at 7:45pm, before facing Birmingham on the weekend. The two sides will meet at St Andrews at 3pm on Saturday.

Our away allocation is sold out for both of these fixtures.

Women's Team:

With half term on the horizon, SAFC Women are offering the prospect of free football for under-16s this weekend! For their home clash at Eppleton on Sunday, kicking off at noon, all under 16 tickets are free when purchased with an accompanying adult.

Book yours today.

Academy:

It's a bumper week for academy football too, as our sides take part in three games this week.

Our under-21s are in action twice, facing Peterborough United and Reading FC away from home, on Tuesday and Saturday respectively.

Back on home turf, the under-18s will host Everton on Saturday.

Ticketing:

Tickets for our next home meeting are available here. The Lads face Swansea to round out the month.

We cross into March by the time the Lads next run out on home turf, as they face table-topping Leicester City in a big midweek clash on Tuesday 5 March. You can bag your spot today.

Events:

The Veterans Breakfast Club have the pleasure of former World Cup referee George Courtney attending to take part in a discussion hosted by Nick Barnes. The event takes place at the stadium on Wednesday 14th February at 9am.

Come along and listen to a local referee who went through the ranks to become a World Cup referee and associated stories. He was also the referee when Sunderland played Newcastle at St James when the fans invaded the pitch.
