Ahead of Saturday afternoon’s home fixture with Stoke City at the Stadium of Light, supporters are advised of ongoing works on the local roads.
Heading southbound into the St. Mary’s Boulevard/Wearmouth Bridge roundabout, Northern Gas Network are currently undertaking repairs in one lane. This could have a potential effect on traffic around the local area on matchday.
Supporters are asked to allow extra time for their journey with works not expected to be completed before Saturday’s match. Usual traffic measures usually in place on the Wearmouth Bridge for matchdays will still apply and be incorporated with this temporary measure.
