Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce a new partnership with Vertu Motors.
The North East-based motor retail brand become the club’s Official Car Partner until the end of the 2021-22 season, expanding their sports portfolio with two new partnerships.
Vertu Motors have also joined forces with Middlesbrough Football Club, as they continue to build and enhance engagement with supporters across English football.
The partnership will incorporate matchday activation, digital opportunities and player appearances, and there will also be a focus on ensuring PR and marketing activations throughout the campaign.
Based in Gateshead, Vertu Motors have existing partnerships with Durham Cricket and the Newcastle Eagles basketball team, whilst also having naming rights for the Eagles’ Vertu Motors Arena in Gateshead.
The motor retail brand who offer new cars for sale also sponsor the Professional Footballers’ Association for the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award, a partnership that has ran for several seasons and will continue until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
North of the border, Vertu Motors’ sister brand Macklin Motors, who offer used cars in Scotland, have partnerships with Hibernian, Hearts and the Glasgow Rocks basketball team.
