Key information: Season card and streaming update

Sunderland AFC can now provide supporters with an update regarding season cards and the streaming of matches during the 2020-21 season.

The new campaign will commence behind-closed-doors and current Governmental guidance states that supporters will not be permitted entry to grounds until 1 October at the earliest.

Prior to that date, Phil Parkinson’s side will face Bristol Rovers, Oxford United and Peterborough United in Sky Bet League One, while also taking on Hull City and Aston Villa Under-21s in the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy, respectively.

During the period in which matches take place behind closed doors, ALL supporters will be able to access streaming services for ALL Sky Bet League One fixtures, including those taking place at 3pm on a Saturday, providing they are not selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.

As previously announced, 2020-21 season card holders will have the option to select either a streaming pass OR a pro-rata refund for any home league fixtures played behind closed doors.

Ahead of the club’s opening match against Bristol Rovers, all 2020-21 season card holders will be issued with a single-use voucher code that will provide free access to the stream of all home league games played behind closed doors.

If you wish to receive a pro-rata refund and NOT a streaming pass, simply do not redeem the voucher code provided.

Please be advised that the selection you make will apply to ALL home league games played behind closed doors and it cannot be changed on a match-to-match basis. Supporters that purchased a free season card – under-8s, for example – will not be entitled to a streaming pass or pro-rata refund.

Further details regarding the refund process will be confirmed in due course.

Non-season card holders, and season card holders that opt to receive a pro-rata refund instead of a streaming pass, will also be able to watch any League One fixtures not selected for live coverage on Sky Sports at the EFL match pass price of £10.

Streaming passes for SAFC’s Carabao Cup clash Hull City are also now on sale for £10. Please note, this game will be available to stream for UK-based supporters only.

2019-20 PASS HOLDERS

All 2019-20 seasonal international streaming pass holders will be entitled to watch the first eight league fixtures of the new campaign free of charge.

2019-20 seasonal international streaming pass holders will be a sent a voucher code for these games shortly, after which point, they can purchase a seasonal 2020-21 pass on a pro-rata basis.

Seasonal international streaming passes for the 2020-21 campaign will be on sale from Monday 7 September for £140.

Supporters based overseas will also be able to purchase streaming passes on a match-by match basis, priced at £7 per fixture.

2020-21 seasonal audio commentary passes will also be on sale later this week for £45, with a monthly option also available.

Supporters that have an existing monthly audio commentary subscription are advised that payments will resume on Friday 4 September.
