Andy Reid was signed by Roy Keane in January 2008 to link up with the Irish contingency on Wearside.

The Republic of Ireland international hit the ground running by scoring an iconic 96th minute winner against West Ham United, to give Sunderland back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since 2001.

In the following season, Reid grabbed a brace away to Norwich City in a 4-1 victory, and he quickly followed it up with a goal against Hull City as the Lads registered another win by the same scoreline.

After three years and more than 80 appearances on Wearside, Reid departed on-loan to Sheffield United, before signing a permanent deal with Blackpool.
