This June, supporters of the Foundation of Light are embarking on an epic challenge to raise vital funds for the club’s official charity.
If not for the pandemic, cyclists were set to ride from pretty Pisa to Rome – 275 miles across the Italian countryside.
Instead, fundraisers are being encouraged to take up the challenge in scenic Sunderland during the next 4 weeks, in aid of the Foundation
Whether you’re a seasoned pro, an ambitious amateur or haven’t been on a bike in years, taking part is simple.
Complete the mileage in your own time and at your own pace between 1st June and 27th June, on the roads, on the rollers or on an exercise bike, and log your mileage on the Foundation’s Strava group.
And don’t forget to share your selfies and stories with friends and family using #FoLVirtualCycleChallenge
Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a special certificate and will recognised in our Cycle Challenge Hall of Fame on our website and social media.
