The club welcomed a very special guest to the Stadium of Light for Tuesday night’s game against Aston Villa.
Jasmine is 12 and has cerebral palsy. She spends time at Grace House, where she met some of the players when they made a recent visit.

She was a mascot and proudly led the team out in her wheelchair ahead of the game with captain John O’Shea.
Her match experience included a visit to the dressing room where she met the full squad...
She even gets the chance to have a chat with our skipper, John O'Shea 👌#OurMatchday pic.twitter.com/tk7z1C940g

...as well as a trip into the manager’s office to have a pre-match chat with boss Chris Coleman.
And to top it off...

The club is proud to support the 2018 Level Playing Field (LPF) Weeks of Action.
This annual initiative, now in its 13th year, aims to celebrate access and inclusion for disabled sports fans across England and Wales.
Disabled people constitute the largest minority group at around 15% of the population and this number is increasing year on year.
Sunderland AFC has a long-term commitment to providing the best possible accessible facilities for all supporters to attend the game regardless of their needs.
This includes the world’s first Sensory Room in a sports venue, and a recently-opened Warm Room located in the South West Corner of the stadium for wheelchair users.
